'Human head' found in Montreal park

Two women place flowers at a memorial near Concordia University for Lin Jun, in Montreal 6 June 2012

Police in Montreal say human remains found in a park may be from a Chinese student killed by the so-called Canadian psycho.

A police source told local media the body part had been sent for testing, and it appeared to be a head.

Luka Magnotta, 29, pleaded not guilty last month to killing Jun Lin. His body parts were posted to political offices in Ottawa and schools in Vancouver.

The 33-year-old's torso was found in Montreal, but the head was missing.

Montreal police said they were led by a tip-off to Angrignon Park in south-west Montreal on Sunday, but have not given any additional information.

Lin's family held a private memorial for him last week in Montreal.

Mr Magnotta was arrested in Germany last month.
