A Championship footballer has been jailed for 10 months following an attack on a group of students in Birmingham.
Watford FC striker Troy Deeney, 23, was involved in the fracas which left one man with a broken jaw and another requiring 20 stitches.
Deeney, who was seen kicking one of the victims in the head on CCTV, had already pleaded guilty to affray.
He was sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court.
Watford FC said in a statement it was aware of the sentence and would issue a full statement in "the next few days".
